About Us

Since its opening in 2015, the world of Rub & Roll has revolved around quality gastronomy and special meats. The passion for authentic American barbecue, however, has much deeper roots, and this led directly to the development of its own products after Rub & Roll Barbecue and Rub & Roll in Gödöllő, i.e. the birth of Rub & Roll Butchery.

It is with pleasure and pride that we present the premium meat products of Rub & Roll, which we have perfected over the years after developing our own recipe. The new-wave grilled sausages, hot dogs, cold meats and prepared bbq dishes are made from domestic, forest-grown mangalica, USDA 'choice' certified American beef and a well-defined gastronomic twist, traditional Hungarian seasoning. 


By combining American and Hungarian traditions, grilled sausages bring a groundbreaking novelty to the family table. The texture of the 94% meat sausages is different from the usual here: the homogenous mixture of mangalica or beef stuffed in collagen intestines and quality spices is complemented by the exciting interplay of American red cheddar cheese and mangalica bacon pieces. The result is a grilled sausage that can be easily grilled or fried, without "fat splashing", has a crispy appearance, and brings a special taste to life, every bite of which promises a unique gastronomic experience.

The texture of the hot dogs differs slightly from the usual, but according to their composition they create a new, exclusive category. Original grass-fed mangalica and USDA beef make up 85% of the hot dogs, and in addition, there are Hungarian spices, pepper from Kalocsa, and depending on the variety, American red cheddar cheese and bacon or jalapeno pepper. In addition to the traditional one, you can find 3 spicy flavors, which reinterpret the colorful hot dog culture of America and adapt it to the Hungarian taste world. These juicy hot dogs are to be prepared within a few minutes in slowly bubbling water - they offer a perfect culinary experience together with mustard and fresh bread or even served in a hot dog bun with fried onions and sprinkled with cheese sauce.


Dávid Kiss - the creative director

Dávid has been involved in gastronomy since he was 15 years old. After more than a decade of experience at home and abroad, he opened his first restaurant, Beer & Burger on Wesselényi Street, which was known as one of the flagships of the burger revolution among the citizens of the capital. After the success of the first place, the others soon followed, the opening of Rub & Roll Barbecue in 2015 was followed by 2 more restaurants, a food truck and a webshop selling barbecue accessories. The compilation of the menus and the development of the recipes praised Dávid's handwork in every case, and the experimentation with meat and barbecue and the continuous creation led to further new, revolutionary ideas and the development of his own products.

Zoltán Sebestyén - the professional manager

Dávid's brother-in-law Zoltán's connection to meat is rooted in the family, as his father was already active as a hobby butler in Kalocsa. The father's hobby later became a passion: he made traditional stuffed smoked goods to the delight of the people of Kalocsa. Zoltán wanted to raise his active interest in the profession on his father's side to a higher level, so after learning the trade and his father's retirement, he took over the baton from him and then set about building a meat factory in Kalocsa. The products of the Rub & Roll Butchery will be made here under Zoltán's supervision, including salami, widely known as the pride of the family, the recipe of which has been part of the family heritage since 1812.

László Gergő - the operative manager

In addition to the creative and professional mind, you need a person who pays attention to the operative part of the business, who ensures smooth operation, logistics, oversees financial affairs, in short, provides all conditions for the business to function. This person in the life of Rub & Roll Butchery is Gergő, who, in addition to all this, created the Rub & Roll website and webshop.


Rub & Roll Butchery aims to approach the meat industry from the side of gastronomy. The plans go beyond the craft family business, but due to the preservation of quality and traditions, production will be maximized at some point. We would like Rub & Roll Butchery's high-quality products to be found on store shelves nationwide by discerning customers, thereby introducing the juicy meat products created as the ace of Kalocsa`s traditions and American food love as widely as possible.

Grilled sausages, hot dogs, cold meats and other prepared, ready-to-bake burger patties and bbq meats are produced in accordance with the highest standards. Thanks to the outstanding kitchen technology, the products are made without preservatives and have a shelf life of 1 month.
